1 year, 128 days to go until blue water

My goal with this site is to start out with a diary of the refit of our 38′ Pearson Invicta “Scout” so we can drop lines and set sail approximately around October 1, 2014 (pending a good weather window).

At this point, Scout has been in the water for the past 2 years giving us the greatest adventures a couple could ask for.  She delivered us safely last summer to Block Island, RI last summer so we could be married on the bow of her.  It was one of the most memorable days of our lives, and made us realize how much our dreams need to become a reality.

So over the next 15 months there will be some great sailing pictures, sunsets, sunrises, friends and a whole lot of refitting.  We are planning on sailing through the summer getting used to the tiller which was recently installed after years of a wheel.  It is going to be a fun summer, but after Labor Day weekend, the major refit begins.

Check in with us regularly and I will try to keep you interested so you want to keep coming back.
